8th Grade Art
The Junior High Fine Art program offers exploration in fiber arts, ceramics, drawing, and
painting. Two-dimensional as well as three-dimensional projects will challenge students to solve design
problems and promote creative thought. A variety of techniques and mediums will be explored while
learning about design concepts. Throughout the course, students will learn what is needed in the way of
supplies and how to properly and safely use the tools necessary to complete an assigned project. They
will also learn the importance of art history, art vocations, and multi-cultural awareness.

Homework
Homework will be part of the classwork grade which will consist of any makeup work or bringing in a photo reference for assigned marking period projects.
Students are required to bring a pencil to class every day.
